title: AGITATING AND SINGING "This was not socialism, this was philistinism,
we are not at the end, we are at the beginning."
People in their forties with a past of punk and the
matching patina sing playback and dance to it. Afterwards,
they pose in a suit as presenters. They allude to historical
cross connections, shout political watchwords, play pop
theory from the tape and discuss it pretty exhausted;
they, themselves, play live important examples of
protest songs in order to illustrate all this.
Above all, they announce the bands, and chat a
little with them.
Protest guests: Presentation: date/time/location: 10.07.2003 -- 20:15
executive authority: Theater im Bahnhof + Graz Jazz-scene
title: GRAZ JAZZ SHADOW
Since the Graz Jazz Summer
has surprisingly decided to give its first concert during
the period of time of the state of Acconci on the Mur and, thus,
to conquer via sound the airspace above the island, the republic
accepts the challenge and dissolves its state in the general summer
cheerfulness of the city of Graz. To be sure, not without properly
celebrating, too.
The whole island will be a chicken roaster, the TiB will operate it,
and the cream of the Graz Jazz scene will PLAY ALONG to the concert
on Mariahilferplatz. Live and synchronous and to be heard far away.
PostMotownPop reworked by the highly recommended Graz Jazz scene.

bands and singers who have registered with the demos of
their protest songs. Everything is possible: From the
overweight housewife singing playback songs of Daliah Lavi, to genuine
Schwarzer-Block-Kids with spaghetti/ketchup bombs and banners to
Bob-Dylans-Live-Alikes and Deutschorebands. Five stewards in white
suits take the protest themes from the audience.
Boni Koller (Baby Jail, Schternefšifi), Suzanne Zahnd (Eugen, Dangermice)
and Bubi Rufener (Boob, Revolting, Allschwil Possee). The project has
been developed within the framework of the EXPO.02 in Switzerland.
