The set is a circle of naked electric bulbs on the floor,
the performance is an extraordinary marathon game with
questions and answers. For several hours, performers,
shabbily dressed as old fashioned clowns, ask each other
more than 2000 questions while the audience may enter
and leave the room at any time.
The bow is bent from pop questions to personal secrets,
from quiz questions to philosophical problems. Quizoola!
is a live discussion about what is real and what is performed -
which question may be asked and how can it be answered.
A game surviving from moment to moment, a comical and
sometimes brutal question game that gets out of hand early.
Forced Entertainment is an ensemble of artists and performers
from Sheffield, England. The group has existed since 1984,
and works on performances, installations, videos and art in
digital media. Quizoola has performed in Berlin, New York,
Beirut , Bergen and Gent ... An epilogue : Which questions remain unanswered?
